What happens if you just Show Up?

Stop Working on Yourself and Start Showing Up

You don’t need to be fixed. You don’t need to be worked on.

What if instead of working on ourselves we simply... show up?

For sometime I have wanted to shift this language around, Im working on myself or that aspect of myself as it just didn’t fit, the language didn’t resonate.

One day I realized oh...it’s show up. The language is show up.

When we work on ourselves there is this idea of "fixing myself" as if you am broken, that something is wrong with you. You begin to fragment and "other" parts of yourself. You feel disconnected and not whole. Working on yourself seems like something you do rather than a space that you occupy.

When you show up you get curious, unattached, witness, FEEL and surrender to what it is. We get to dig deeper, to experience more, to show up. Eventually there comes a point to express this either via dialogue with a partner, art work, a walk and talk with a friend, moaning, yelling, dancing etc. Things naturally begin to shift when this happens.

Showing up to seems like a very natural thing to do where as working on seems like a very structured and another way of really controlling the situation. Like we don’t like this part of us so we must make it better.

Showing up doesn't require us to do much and yet requires us to be so much with. To truly shift that from the inside out. To truly embrace that rage, to truly embrace your jealousy or even something like always being late or “lazy”. When we show up to this we hear the natural voice of wisdom, our soul begins to speak it’s whys, when we show up we feel that feeling and allow it to be exactly as it is... this allows us to recognize our wholeness.

So slow down and show up.

Create the space outside for your inside and connect within.

This leads to your whole.

This leads to your peace.

This is your anchor no matter what is occurring outside keep coming back in over and over.
